Sorry, Still Only Words
Well I know you all were expecting to hear from me on the1st and15th like I promised, same as your paycheck arrives... but the first fell on a Sunday, the mailman doesn't work that day and neither does my mind that well. So please cut me a little slack, have a little mercy cause I need ya too.
I also pretty much promised a video blog this time but due to some technical difficulties and the fact that I have been crazy busy, traveling all hours of the night, doing my own version of trains planes and automobiles to get to co-host morning shows from Lynchburg, VA to Des Moines, Iowa. You'll just have to stomach only my most sacred words until we are set up properly to do to bring you high def... lovely. By the way on the news section on this site you can listen to some of WYYD's programing morning show with Bear and Judy.
As you may know I have spent quite a bit of time on the road, doing shows, making new friends, one by one, so as always that is a good thing. And one thing’s for sure, I never get tired of entertaining and playing music for the peeps, always a blessing ya know. On the Next single front, I'm sure some of you have guessed or heard it through the grape vine (not the song) but in case you are still in the dark, "SUNSHINE", has been decided on. Like the song says, "Everybody needs a little", so there is a new dawn rising on January 11th when we start reaching out for radio play and take on the big boys again. Heck, I need a break after Moo La Moo, need to write and record plenty and yes coach my 5th/6th grade basketball team to their first Catholic league title. (Very important, I know you would agree).
In the meanwhile our team at Ride is growing. We have brought on my favorite Record sales guy ever from my Polygram and Universal days, Bill "BT" Twyman, to run that division among other things Ride, so I’m excited about him coming aboard as we feel he will be a huge impact in our success and moving forward. Also just today, we brought on another Vet from the radio promotion side of things to work the mid-west, Mark Westcott, so we are excited about the possibilities ahead. He also has a great rep out their in radio land and we feel it's a giant step in the right direction for us. So welcome boys...
Shows coming up this month are in Corpus TX, West Palm Beach FL, I get to get out to LA and see my buddies Gary Valentine and Paula Trickey in November as well and be a part of Ray Romano and Kevin James's charity event, then go from there to Augusta GA, Little Rock AR, etc...so check the tour schedule if any of the gigs are in your area and come out to see us. Actually, I may try and sneak on Augusta National Country Club, a very exclusive golf club, where they play "The Masters" every year. So, if you hear about me getting arrested for trespassing it will be there where it happens, I live for the place, beautiful beautiful. Hey, all press is good press, right Schatzi? Okay that's what I've been
told...Al whatcha' think? There is some news brewing on the songwriting front but until it is totally a go I'll give you guys something to be curious about. Okay enough of that...
I look forward to the 15th to fill you in further on the happenings of all things Ride and Mua, so until then be safe and thanks for dropping by. Sorry for being so to the point this blog, I'll try and add more zest next time out.
Steve
