Steve was among hundreds of country music stars, industry leaders and radio broadcasters who recently participated in Country Cares for St. Jude Kids, the annual radio fundraising program in Memphis. Since the inception of Country Cares for St. Jude Kids in 1989, the country music industry has raised a record $365 million to help kids battling deadly diseases. St. Jude Children's Hospital was founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, and is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance.
